The client had an history of replicating product & seller content from its own e-commerce domain to create pages with the same content under different domain names. While its own content and the duplicate content are being indexed by Google, the e-commerce website took a hard hit on its organic search traffic when Google rolled out Panda Algorithm Updates in 2015.
What we have done?
- Implemented canonical tags on the duplicate content pages to point to the respective content pages on the e-commerce domain
- Recovery of organic search traffic from Google Panda Algorithm Updates
